DR. TY AFFLECK

Dr. Ty Affleck was raised in Palo Alto, earning his BS in Genetics at UC Berkeley and his MD at the Medical College of Virginia. While completing his Family Practice Residency in Pueblo, Colorado, he was an affiliated provider for the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. He was then selected for a Fellowship at the Sports Medicine Clinic in Seattle, where he worked with diverse pro athletes including the Seattle Mariners, the Rainier Cup hydroplane racers, the Seattle Ballet and PRCA rodeo cowboys.

He created Santa Rosa Sports & Family Medicine in 1992.  He serves as a team physician for the Sonoma State University and Santa Rosa Junior College athletic departments, providing medical care at events, designing training programs and overseeing rehabilitation of injuries. He also provides medical care for local events such as the Human Race, the Vineman Triathlon, Levi’s Gran Fondo, and Team in Training.
